Late at night, if you've ever walked past an office tower or an apartment block with every window dark except one —

you probably slowed down without meaning to.

One light. Someone up there is still awake.

You don't know them. You'll never know them. But something in you settled at the sight of it, because a single lit window at 2 a.m. quietly says the same thing every time: you're not the only one still up.

Dear Friend, some nights you are the one at the window, looking out, hoping to catch a light that means you're not alone in it.

And some nights — without ever knowing it — you are the light. Someone glanced up, saw your window glowing, and breathed a little easier.

You don't have to know which one you are tonight.

Both of them count.
